MICHELE SPOTTI NOMINATED MUSICAL DIRECTOR OF THE MARSEILLE OPERA HOUSE

The Italian conductor Michele Spotti has been nominated, at the young age of 29, Musical Director of Marseille’s Opera House and Philharmonic Orchestra. It was announced this morning by Marseille’s Mayor Benoît Payan and the General Manager of the Opéra de Marseille Maurice Xiberras. There will be a new Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame: that of the great Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti, who died in 2007 at the age of 71.
